A humorous and satirical comedy, which places a man from the year 2222 one day in the (then) present day life in GDR, East Germany under Communist regime. Using a crystal for mind reading he uncovers some improprieties and moral weaknesses in the "Beautiful future" professed by VEB ("Volkseigener Betrieb" – "State Owned Holdings").

In the Qin Dynasty, time-traveller Hong Siu-lung has lived in seclusion with his family for twenty years. In the present day, archaeologist Tapdig finds a strange egg during archaeological excavations and claims that this egg is a million years old. No matter how far-fetched it may sound, what he says is actually a reality in the parallel universe that existed millions of years ago. As Tapdig says, the tribal chief entrusts his son Dudu with the sacred eggs inherited from his grandfather, and instructs him to protect them, warning him that a great disaster will occur if these eggs break. However, by chance, one of the eggs falls from Dudu's hands and breaks, and Dudu is transported to the present day. Having fallen into the modern era, Dudu devotes all his energy to searching for the surviving egg (found by the archaeologist). In this, he is helped by the swindler Magsud, a journalist he has just befriended. However, the results are not at all as expected.

A comedy that pays tribute to the science fiction genre -- specifically, the sub-genre of time travel. But here the alternate reality is contemporary New York City where past and future experiences of trust, commitment and denial are cleverly put to the test. Just as Ruby is beginning to relish her first-ever healthy relationship, Sam begins muttering about being a time traveler from the year 2470.

The sequel to The Visitors reunites us with those lovable ruffians from the French Medieval ages who - through magic - are transported into the present, with often drastic consequences. Godefroy de Montmirail travels to today to recover the missing family jewels and a sacred relic, guarantor of his wife-to-be's fertility. The confrontation between Godefroy's repellent servant Jack the Crack and his descendent, the effete Jacquart, present-day owner of the chateau, further complicates the matter.
