Kyo Otsuka is a shy high school student with zero confidence but he has feelings for Naoko Miki, the most popular girl in his class. Instead of putting himself forward, he watches her from afar as she hangs out with her energetic friends. This includes Hirofumi, Miki’s childhood friend and Kyo’s friend. Hirofumi is handsome and athletic and has a nice personality. When another shy student stops going to school, the feelings of everyone begin to change.
A conversation between friends about relationships and feelings is developed in an imaginative, colorful animation. Despite their different life experiences, which are also influenced by the fact that one of the girls has Down syndrome and the other doesn‘t, they both deal with similar issues. A young girl, Ingrid (Sabrina Dickens) has been abused and disowned by her guardians and social workers. As she tries to get her life organised through the new social worker, Ms Murray (Anu Hasan) and a new friend Jade (Brigid Shine), Ingrid tries to build up courage to speak to males her own age, tries to talk and deal with her mental health and abuse.

When 12-year-old Elsi Björkman and her mother Paula return from a week's holiday abroad, Elsi immediately notices that someone has been in her room. She tells her mother about it, but she does not believe her. At the local supermarket Elsi meets Henry, who seems to spend his time returning shopping trolleys. Elsi does not know anything about the boy, who has an irritating habit of appearing from out of nowhere, only to disappear again, as if into thin air. Nevertheless, the children become friends.
