In this loose adaptation of Shakespeare's "Henry IV," Mike Waters is a hustler afflicted with narcolepsy. Scott Favor is the rebellious son of a mayor. Together, the two travel from Portland, Oregon to Idaho and finally to the coast of Italy in a quest to find Mike's estranged mother. Along the way they turn tricks for money and drugs, eventually attracting the attention of a wealthy benefactor and sexual deviant.

In consequence of a violent incident that occurred when is son was a toddler, Luc Bisaillon has lost the right to be in Samuel's life. Years later, Luc desperately wants to form a bond with his teenage son before it's too late. Migo, a Linguistic student, goes back to his hometown to annotate the language in the area. He finds out that the place was not what it used to be. He traverses around the place and sees fragments of his childhood friend Ami, who speaks a different language. The deeper he goes into the memories of the place, the more something in him echoes why he has returned.
