Karrer plods his way through life in quiet desperation. His environment is drab and rainy and muddy. Beat Takeshi lives the busy and sometimes surreal life of a showbiz celebrity. One day he meets his blond lookalike named Kitano, a shy convenience store cashier, who, still an unknown actor, is waiting for his big break. After their paths cross, Kitano seems to begin hallucinating about becoming Beat.
A man is building an electronic machine, which purpose is unknown. His wife, who is living with him falls in love with another man (Mr.Nowak)(who in reality are three children in a trenchcoat), threatening the relationship. Her Husband becomes increasingly insane as nobody else is noticing the obvious fact, that it’s three children in disguise. We follow the relationship of Mr.Nowak, who becomes an alcoholic, and the woman and her sexual frustration with her new „man“. It ends with a death, with a human-annihilation-machine, a philosophical look into Hölderlins poems, and the realisation, that being an adult isn’t all that fun.

New Jersey teen Daniel LaRusso moves to Los Angeles with his mother, and soon strikes up a relationship with Ali. He quickly finds himself the target of bullying by a group of thugs, led by Ali's ex-boyfriend Johnny, who study karate at the Cobra Kai dojo under ruthless sensei John Kreese. Fortunately, Daniel befriends Mr. Miyagi, an unassuming repairman who just happens to be a martial arts master himself. Miyagi takes Daniel under his wing, training him in a more compassionate form of karate for self-defense and, later, preparing him to compete against the brutal Cobra Kai.
