The secret US abduction of a suspected terrorist from his Middle East homeland leads to a wave of terrorist attacks in New York. In 1979, a young boy’s routine after school was always to watch the animated hero show, Xavier X. When the show suddenly got banned from airing, the boy was left with an itching question that his suspicious mother refused to answer and his curiosity eventually leads him to uncover the truth that hides behind his favorite show.

Set in the 1970s, Angela, a college student, returns to her ancestral home to care for her ailing grandmother. Assigned to South America, US official Philip Michael Santore is employed by a counterinsurgency agency. His position makes him a target for a local band of guerrillas, and, before long, Santore is kidnapped. As a prisoner, he undergoes interrogation, shedding light on the violent situation in the country. Once the insurgents are done with their questioning, they must decide whether Santore lives or dies.

Amid the nation's chaos brought by the Martial Law, Rosa, bruised and battered, runs from her captors as she seeks a safe place to stay. Once she was able to find a place to stay, she documented and narrated her experience as she watched her friend die from torture at the hands of the soldiers. Eventually, the soldiers caught up to her and made her suffer as they held her captive. In the end, she survived and lived through another hell with memories of her past haunting her as Bongbong Marcos Jr. won the presidency in a landslide in 2022.

When a body is found after a wild night in a Manila Disco in 1981, we go back in time to examine how the intertwined desires of a rising bank officer, her glamorous mentor and the gigolo between them build toward a killing on the eve of the Marcos regime's collapse.
