Made in Bletchley is a short documentary portrait of Bletchley Boxing Community Hub, a grassroots club in Milton Keynes where discipline, dignity, and belonging are sparred for as hard as any title. Through the eyes of its founder, its young boxers, and the families in the corner, the film captures a community that refuses to let its kids fall through the cracks. What begins as a gym becomes a second home — a place where identity is built punch by punch, and where the ring is the smallest part of what's really being fought for.
Can you be accused of being close to ‘ndrangheta families if you have pursued a career in the name of legality? The case of Ambrogio Crespi is much more than a judicial case; it is the answer to these unthinkable questions. It is the paradox that becomes reality. Accused of external complicity in mafia association, he is arrested and tried for having provided votes from mafia circles to a councilor Lombardo… never seen, never known. Although it seemed clear even to the insiders that Ambrogio Crespi was not involved in the charges, the first degree ends with an incredible sentence of 12 years, double the request of the same PM. A sentence that, like a guillotine, weighs on the life of Ambrogio and his entire family.
Shortened version of the film 'Snow flight' distributed by Warner Bros. The film was produced by Jerome Hill as 'a document of skiing according to the principles of Hannes Schneider.' It features Otto Lang, director of the Mt Rainier and Mt Baker ski schools. As the film opens, Otto emerges from a cabin beneath Table Mountain at the Mt Baker ski area with his canine friend. He applies wax-on climbing skins to his skis. Then he steps into his bindings and climbs to a scenic ridge. The narrator describes each technique in detail as Otto demonstrates again. Several of the maneuvers are done in slow motion on a slope meticulously packed by side-stepping.
The ascent of the Wetterhorn by Frank Ormiston-Smith accompanied by the guide Christian Bergener, Rev. H. J. Heard, Mr. E Burchell-Rodway from the Alpine Club, and the hotelier Herr Fritz Boss from Grindelwald. The film consists of 24 scenes including a final scene of the team on the summit. The film starts with the climbers and the guide leaving the Bear Hotel, at Grindelwald. Later the party arrives at the Wetterhorn Hotel, at the mountain base. They climb the Milchbach Ladders to gain the top of the glacier, cross the Seebach Platte and the upper glacier, and pass the night at the Mountain Inn. Next morning they overcome the Great Coulvu and gain the arete to finally reach the summit. Sections of the film are tinted to give the effects of dawn, sunset and rose-glow actually experienced during the climb.
