Now aged 17, Antoine Doinel works in a factory which makes records. At a music concert, he meets a girl his own age, Colette, and falls in love with her. Bruna is a biologist who studies insects. In 2020, during a pandemic, she faces a creative block to continue her current research. After talking to her advisor, Dr. Jaime, Bruna is pressured to look for new stimuli to write. After a few attempts, the young scientist ends up transforming in an irreversible way.
