When bringing his freshly washed laundry to the attic, a man sees himself confronted with quiet voices and noises. By hanging up pieces for piece smoothly and listening to each, he tries to find out whether the noise comes from the laundry. He ends up in a labyrinth of sheets, without having the mystery solved. Are the voices coming from inside him?

Working at a nightclub in Chengdu, a transgender Chinese woman receives an unexpected visit from her cousin informing her that the mother she has brushed aside, has died. As the only "son", she feels obligated to return to her birthplace for the sake of her family, even though she'll have to hide her true self from those that once shared her past.

Donald has an unpleasant evening when a mysterious book salesman comes to his door then disappears leaving Donald with a collection of whodunnit novels. He reads one and gets so fully involved in it that it appears that the characters are actually coming out of the book and into his living room getting him involved in the murder caper. Finally the author of the book, J. Harold King, steps forth and claims Donald innocent. The characters return to the novel from whence they came leaving Donald wondering if it was really just his "imagination"
