Bedirxan, an elementary school teacher in Homs, had contacted Mohammed online to ask him what he would film, if he was there. An archival short film built from videos recorded in 2011 on a Nokia 5230 during the filmmaker’s high school years, when filming was simply an act of capturing without a defined purpose. Fifteen years later, those images are reinterpreted through editing on a Samsung A26. Through playful and violent fragments, the film explores the adolescent heterosexual masculine experience, while reflecting on the evolution of the mobile phone as a tool that first democratized audiovisual recording and, by 2026, also made editing more accessible.
