William Keane is barely able to cope. It has been six months since his six-year-old daughter was abducted from New York City’s Port Authority Bus Terminal while traveling with him. Repeatedly drawn to the site of the abduction, Keane wanders the bus station, compulsively replaying the events of that fateful day, as if hoping to change the outcome.

Edy, an insurer with questionable morals, knows his business inside and out, so much so that he is not stingy with all kinds of schemes to help some of his privileged clients collect their spouse's life insurance. However, Edy is tired of this life, which does not really bring him satisfaction anymore. So he decides to end his life. As he tries to do so, he finds himself involved in a dark story.

Freed after a lengthy term in a juvenile detention center, convicted child killer Jack Burridge finds work as a deliveryman and begins dating co-worker Michelle. But when a local newspaper unearths his past, Jack must cope with the anger of citizens who fear for the safety of their children.
