Susanna soon realizes how hard it is to get out once she has been committed, and she ultimately has to choose between the world of people who belong inside or the difficult world of reality outside.

Thaddeus implores Allen to find Jamie, a young street hustler that Thaddeus had once tried to rescue. Allen returns to the streets to face the dark corners of his past where he must choose between what he left behind and the uncertainty that lies ahead.

Shabbat Dinner is boring as usual for William Shore. His mother has invited two crazy hippies and their son and is doing her best to show off, his father is drunk and berating their oddball guests, and he doesn't have much in common with their son Virgo. That is, until Virgo tells him that he has just come out as gay.

A diverse group of artists and bohemians gathers at a party to celebrate and wait for a guest of honor named Pedro. As they drink, talk, and wander through the rooms, the much-anticipated Pedro never arrives, turning the event into a surreal, endless vigil. The guests are left to navigate their own desires and existential boredom while hearing the rhythmic "tam-tam" of drums that suggests a coming catastrophe.
