When troubled, cynical teen Rick chooses service at a camp for the blind over serving time, he thinks he's found the easy way out. Instead, it's the way to a new life. Step by step, as Rick helps a blind gymnast rediscover the joys of competition through equestrian show jumping, they begin to take control of the most important journey of all... a journey called life.

Lord John Morgan has returned to civilized life in England, but finds he has nothing but disdain for that life. Yearning to embrace the simplicity of the American West, and the Sioux tribe he left behind, Morgan returns to the their land only to discover that they've been decimated by ruthless, government-backed fur traders. Led by Horse, they fight to repossess their land.

A wanted-fugitive, called "Nevada," is wounded by a pursuing posse of lawmen, and is left to die on the desert by his companion, Bill Hall. He is rescued by a young rancher, Ben Ide, who is in love with Ina Blaine, daughter of a neighboring rancher. While "Nevada" is recovering, he and Ina fall in love but, through his loyalty to Ben, he sends her away. Going home, Ina falls into the clutches of Bill Hall, now heading a gang of rustlers, but the real leader is Les Setter who is posing as an honest rancher, and he has designs on Ina himself.
