As a Palestinian refugee, Ahmad escaped from Lebanon to Germany 40 years ago. In a conservative and strict way, he raises his six children in Berlin Neukölln. His oldest son, the filmmaker, talks to his father, interviews his siblings and tries to understand how war, escape and exile affect a human being.

This documentary film follows for 22 years a nine-member family involved in the manufacturing of Udon in the Goto Islands, Nagasaki prefecture. Mr. Toru Inuzuka called by nickname "Tora-san" is making famous 'Goto Udon' and natural salt on the island on which the depopulation is progressing. Seven children get up at 5 o'clock every morning, helping to make udon, and go to school. Children's help is recorded on the time card, and it is pocket money for children. The film talks about children's growth, marriage, childbirth, homecoming, and parting. The 22 years of familiarity of the family is drawn.

"Mom, Dad, I'm gay ..." For children the difficulty is to say it, for the parents it is to hear it ... Director Pascal Petit collected the testimonies of five parents. All testify and tell how they welcomed the coming out of their child, no one received it as good news. Some reacted more sharply than others and at times in pain, but all moved on and their gaze changed. This documentary tells of the conversion of the way parents look at their children's homosexuality.
