Giacomo and Samuele, two young boys, were born and grew up in a small town in south Italy. Although it overlooks the open sea, it is a close-minded town. In this ancient town, the two boys quickly develop a strong bond, which goes beyond friendship. They secretly commit themselves to escaping to a place where they can freely express their feelings.

After 1000 years of being God, Jonathan finally wants to get rid of the arduous job and not only has to answer to the tough goddess of the universe for his term in office, but also has to find a successor: the chaotic comic artist Niklas is supposed to be the lucky one. He just ran into pizza delivery driver Tess - and there was a spark between the two.

Firefighters Chuck Ford and Larry Valentine are guy's guys, loyal to the core—which is why when widower Larry asks Chuck to pose as his lover so that he can get domestic partner benefits for his kids, his buddy agrees. However, things get dicey when a bureaucrat comes calling, and the boys are forced to present a picture of domestic bliss.

Co-directed by Blackwood and Julien, the first full-length feature film by Sankofa Film and Video offers a radical and necessary interrogation into what constitutes 'post-colonial' identity at a time of political and social restlessness in Britain. Set within an isolated desert landscape contrasted with recognizable scenes of the intensity of family life, this vanguard work demonstrates the richness and variety of the black experience; it is a poetic and hard-hitting commentary on the complexities of race, gender and sexuality.
