Emily Boynton, the stepmother to three children, blackmails the family lawyer into destroying a second will of her late husband that would have freed the children from her dominating influence. A man, who is planning to emigrate from the country, has reached agreement with his wife to be separated from her. The woman is a war refugee and decides to return to her home town in the south of Khuzistan province. On the day of separation the woman realizes she is pregnant, and now the man has to modify his plans to face the new situation.

An Italian prison official's wife is kidnapped, and the kidnappers demand that a notorious prisoner be released in order for the man to get his wife back. He gets the man released - but then kidnaps him himself, in order to ensure that the man's colleagues don't kill his wife.
