Adam Jacobs was the original "Aladdin" in Disney's smash Broadway musical, with a list of other hits like Les Miserables and Something Rotten, but this docu-concert – filmed as a special one-night-only performance – explores his emotional personal journey, from growing up as a Filipino American in California to landing the role of a lifetime.
The Shadows long and influential career has spanned 6 decades, with hit singles or albums in every one of them. Hank Marvin's guitar playing has been an inspiration to hordes of guitarists down the years, including the likes of Brian May, Eric Clapton and Pete Townshend. The film covers a hundred years in the lives of the Ricordi family, the Milan publishing house of the title, and the various composers and other historic personalities, whose careers intersected with the growth of the Ricordi house. It beautifully draws the parallel between the great music of the composers, the historic and social upheavals of their times, as well as the "smaller stories" of the successive generations of Ricordi.
Hatsune Miku "Magical Mirai" is a combined event that consists of a 3DCG live concert of virtual singers such as Hatsune Miku, along with an exhibition where you will be able to experience the creative culture surrounding Hatsune Miku. Enjoy creating, seeing artworks, supporting creators, meeting friends who like the same character/artwork/creator; and learning about new technologies or collaborations, etc. By making Hatsune Miku and the other virtual singers a creative hub, we are hoping to make space for people to gather and have fun; tied together with the keyword “creativity”.
Beautifully grotesque, politically confrontational and utterly unique: Karin Dreijer's Fever Ray project has come a long way since the immaculate icebox of their eponymous 2009 debut. It's been a thrilling journey. Mournful explorations of parental paranoia and Scandinavian solitude crumbled under the force of a newly emerging identity straining to devour societal interdictions and accepted gender frameworks with 2017's Plunge. Splintered facets of a stridently non-binary personality were explored with 2023's Radical Romantics along with a very human need for intimacy, its most vulnerable moments still as steely and unsettling as a shark circling its prey. Experience the idiosyncratic Fever Ray vision for this exclusive Passengers session beamed in from an abandoned factory in northern France.
