Join Karen Dunbar for an amazing night of side-splitting comedy. Karen is one of Scotland’s most recognisable comedy performers ever, from her breakthrough on Chewin’ the Fat to her success with The Karen Dunbar Show. Her stage career spans everything from Glasgow pantomime to London’s West End, and now she is taking on stand-up comedy in her hometown. This year has seen Karen out on the road with her brand new show, and she is bringing it back to Ayr for one more sold-out night. From delving through her experiences growing up in the 80s to hosting wild karaoke nights in Glasgow in her 20s and revisiting some of her favourite characters, this is Karen like you’ve never quite seen her before.

A tall and a small masked man wearing police uniforms driving the local cop car rob 600.000 Euro from a money transport in Eifel town Monreal. Incompetent state inspector Melanie Marschall focuses local police detectives Killmer and Kati Biever, neither of which has an alibi, both had the car keys, even fitting masks where found at Killmer's home. The are suspended, needing to find the -obviously well-informed- real culprits, while precinct colleague Ralf is recruited to spy on them. While Kati's irresponsible grandmother loads further suspicion on them, the cop pair finds several townsfolk and Melanie Marschall in financial need, yet no conclusive clue until a murder raises crucial questions.

How do German couples communicate in private? What are they arguing about? Is the way to a man’s heart really through his stomach? This docu-fictional hybrid production discusses such questions with the help of authentic interview snippets that were edited under the staged plot. We get an insight into the life of an animal couple, who experience typical everyday situations on behalf of us humans. At first, our fox is emotionally contained, while the penguin lady may get wild as hell. With a wink, the filmmakers hold up a mirror to the audience in the cinema.
