Germany in the year 2030: the conflicts surrounding the "working droids" have reached new heights: left-wing activists protect the slaves of the new world, while right-wing vigilante groups use violence against them. Ika also detests the artificial intelligences. On the run from state power, he meets the enigmatic Iox. Together they seek shelter in the labyrinth of Munich's sewers. But when Ika uncovers his new girlfriend's secret, a fight breaks out.

The year is 1941 in Sweden and Astrid seeks independence by trying to become a train conductor. On the train she meets an older passenger Dora, which she feels attracted to. He laboriously prepares dinner for her, but she becomes increasingly bored and suddenly disappears. She walks through the streets again and finally enters a record store. With ambiguous words she attracts the attention of the salesman, then the movie ends.
