Marvin is an office drone approaching middle-age. On the eve of Easter, an icon depicting the Ethiopian Mother of God enters a Ukrainian village. After the icon is noticed by regular parishioners, a conflict begins between the young priest and his flock. Peasants do not agree to have a dark-skinned Mother of God in the church. One night someone makes his way to the church and cuts the icon. After the night events, the icon begins to pour myrrh.

Along the lines of a mockumentary, "Ultimo giro" is the story of a growing and violent gentrification of which the Pigneto was a witness, in recent years. It is the raw and sincere representation of the same reality viewed from two opposite perspectives, but it is also the demonstration of how conflict and prejudice always deserve one last chance – one last round, why not – to be resolved and overcome.

Julio and Damián are a couple that have just adopted smart and shy five year old Andrés. Damián dotes on the boy, his adoption being a life-changing moment for him, while Julio feels somewhat put upon as the bread winner in the family. Soon after, a family tragedy occurs that puts Julio at a cross road, and questioning his parenthood.
