Making snowboard films is a lot like life. It’s always exciting, filled with plenty of surprises, and with enough hard work, you’re granted some really amazing moments. But most of all, they’re a real pain in the ass. I should know, I’ve made fifteen of ‘em, in addition to commercials, music videos, major movies—you name it. But snowboard movies are the worst. Anyone who has ever worked on a half-assed snowboard movie knows just how much work it is, from dealing with riders who won’t get off the couch to crappy weather and snow conditions that plague film crews all year. Then there’s the snowmobiling—man, don’t get me started on snowmobiles. There’s nothing worse than getting stuck on a snowmobile. It suuuucks!

Born Strong is the story of the four strongest men on the planet. Each year, the Arnold Strongman Classic crowns the winner in the purest test of strength on the planet. This year’s Arnolds are unique with each of these four weighing more than 400 pounds. Lithuanian Zydrunas Savickas, 40, is the acknowledged Strongest Man Ever, who may have passed his prime. American Brian Shaw is the defending champion, a 6’8’, 425-pound giant who seems poised to take the crown. England’s Eddie Hall is “the hungry wolf, ” knocking on the door. “I’ll do anything, ” he says. “I’ll die, if I have to. ” Finally, there’s Icelander Hafthor Bjornsson, who plays the Mountain on Game of Thrones. He’s the youngest of the group, but with perhaps the greatest potential. “It’s great to see these Monsters, ” says Arnold Schwarzenegger, the host of the competition and a former bodybuilding champion. Born Strong revels in the drama when these remarkable giants clash.
A reportage film from the fourth annual International track-and-field meeting of the so-called Evžen Rošický Memorial. Rošický was a Czechoslovak record-holder and communist journalist, who was member of the anti-fascist resistance during the occupation and was murdered by Nazis. At the memorial, important figures from Czech athletics are presented, e.g. the runner Stanislav Jungwirth, the javelin throwers Miloš Kopřiva and Dana Zátopková, triple jumper Martin Řehák, and others.
Sean Kelly is the fourth most successful cyclist of all time with 22 classic wins to his credit. Only Jacques Anquetil, Eddy Merckx and Bernard Hinault have more victories in classic events and major tours. As the famed King of the Classics, Kelly was fearless, fast and very hard. "The man for all seasons", he raced and trained for twelve months of the year with awesome dedication - if ever there was a "Cycling King", it was Sean Kelly.
