Adam Jacobs was the original "Aladdin" in Disney's smash Broadway musical, with a list of other hits like Les Miserables and Something Rotten, but this docu-concert – filmed as a special one-night-only performance – explores his emotional personal journey, from growing up as a Filipino American in California to landing the role of a lifetime.
Ane Brun celebrates two decades of artistic growth with a warm, elegant and emotionally rich anniversary concert. Backed by a versatile band, she revisits highlights from across her career, blending intimate acoustic moments with bold, atmospheric arrangements. Her distinctive voice remains the heart of the performance, while the carefully staged show becomes both a moving retrospective and a vivid reminder of how powerfully her songwriting, sound and stage presence continue to evolve.
New York, 1929, a war rages between two rival gangsters, Fat Sam and Dandy Dan. Dan is in possession of a new and deadly weapon, the dreaded "splurge gun". As the custard pies fly, Bugsy Malone, an all-round nice guy, falls for Blousey Brown, a singer at Fat Sam's speakeasy. His designs on her are disrupted by the seductive songstress Tallulah who wants Bugsy for herself.
Based on the multi-award winning film, "The Monster of Phantom Lake: The Musical!" follows guitar-wielding, a-rockin' scientist Professor Jackson, his smitten graduate student and five swell teenagers as they discover the terrifying effects of "Atomic Waste" in the form of a horribly mutated shell-shocked-World-War-II-soldier/lake algae monster! "The Monster of Phantom Lake: The Musical!" was filmed in July of 2016, during the play's world premiere run at the historic Mabel Tainter Center for the Arts in Menomonie, Wisconsin!
