One winter, a ravenous ogre terrorizes the land of King Balthasar. Meanwhile, a blizzard is brewing in Léon’s heart. Braving the cold, this adopted bear cub runs away from home. Léon has many an adventure during his travels. He befriends a hedgehog and an elephant, confronts an ogre, and sets Princess Molly Gingerbread free. His courage and integrity eventually lead him back to his family. In the end, the cub earns everybody’s respect.

Broadcast live on the Hallmark Hall of Fame series on NBC, a pair of divorced actors are brought together to participate in a musical version of The Taming of the Shrew. Of course, the couple seem to act a great deal like the characters they play, and they must work together when mistaken identities get them mixed up with the mafia.

In the 1930s, three unsuccessful variety artists dream of making it big. When they hear about the rise of sound films in Hollywood, they see their chance: a language school for silent film stars will bring them fame and success. Two strangers meet when they respond to an ad in The New York Times for a river view apartment. Paul Friedman is a married advertising copywriter; Ann Miller a discontented housewife. They view the apartment, but before they can leave discover that the door has accidentally been locked and they are now trapped inside together. A connection quickly forms between them as they begin sharing things about their lives, and they find themselves attracted to one another.

On a frosty winter's morning, Hemulen wakes the sleeping Moomins to prepare them for the approaching Christmas. But the Moomintrolls, who normally go dormant during the winter months, have never celebrated Christmas and have no idea what the holiday means. Their confusion and delight in the white winter landscape lead to a journey of discovery, where they are forced to understand the true meaning of Christmas.
