Roberto, a drummer in a rock band, keeps receiving weird phone calls and being followed by a mysterious man. One night he manages to catch up with his persecutor and tries to get him to talk but in the ensuing struggle he accidentally stabs him. He runs away, but he understands his troubles have just begun when the following day he receives an envelope with photos of him killing the man. Someone is killing all his friends and trying to frame him for the murders.

Sandra Carpenter is a London-based dancer who is distraught to learn that her friend has disappeared. Soon after the disappearance, she's approached by Harley Temple, a police investigator who believes her friend has been murdered by a serial killer who uses personal ads to find his victims. Temple hatches a plan to catch the killer using Sandra as bait, and Sandra agrees to help.

A serial killer is loose on the streets of LA, leaving behind a steaming trail of bodies marked with lipstick: the calling card of a Black Widow who loves them and leaves them dead. As homicide detectives unravel the case, they discover the victims all have one thing in common: they’re crooked ex-cops who escaped justice. But they didn’t escape the sting of the Black Widow. As the investigation hits ever closer to home, the police must consider that the killer could be one of their own, a vigilante who is taking the law into her own hands, and tracking these murders will take them through the dark and seedy underbelly of Los Angeles where they soon discover that revenge is a dish best served hot.

A serial killer named Edgler Foreman Vess breaks into the house, killing Laura and her parents. Chyna survives, but she learns of Vess's captive: a girl, just as innocent as Chyna, trapped in Vess's home far from the Napa Valley.

What starts as a poignant medical documentary about Deborah Logan's descent into Alzheimer's disease and her daughter's struggles as caregiver degenerates into a maddening portrayal of dementia at its most frightening, as hair-raising events begin to plague the family and crew and an unspeakable malevolence threatens to tear the very fabric of sanity from them all.
