Comedy
British sitcom in which Reverend Philip Lambe, after becoming bored in his wealthy Oxfordshire parish, asks for a transfer to a more difficult assignment. Sent to Edendale, a fictional urban town in the Midlands, he is accompanied by his wife Emma, sixteen-year-old daughter…

Reverend Philip Lambe is transferred from his rich rural parish to a tough Midlands city.
Lambe plans to visit the new parish he has been offered, but Emma refuses to go. Parish life is further complicated by Major Andrews, who insists on erecting a massive headstone in memory of his friend Archie Colson.
The reverend and Emma descend on Edendale and discover that it's even more run-down than the reports suggested. During the events of one night, they confirm their worst of fears and reinforce that Edendale really needs them.
The Bishop wants a definite answer from the reverend: is he moving to Edendale or not? Philip has a few days to convince his family. Meanwhile, the marriage of their best friends seems to be coming to an end.
Open hostilities are declared between Philip and the rest of the parish when circumstances suggest that, suffering from the stress of recent events, he is hitting the bottle-and his nearest and dearest.
The day of the move arrives at last, but, due to a missing tortoise and furniture van, both departure and arrival are very different from expectations.

Teachers Only is an NBC television sitcom centered around the faculty of a high school; in the first season the school was Millard Fillmore High in Los Angeles, but in the second it is Woodrow Wilson High in New York with a changed cast. In both seasons Norman Fell played Principal Ben Cooper, but Lynn Redgrave's character, Diana Swanson, who had been an English teacher in the first season, became a guidance counselor in the second season. Redgrave and Fell were already established names when this show aired, but two of the supporting stars in the second season, Jean Smart would go on, three years later, to play her best known role, that of interior design studio receptionist Charlene Frazier Stillfield on the long running show, Designing Women. Also, Jean's co-star Teresa Ganzel became well known for her many game show appearances in the 1980s as well as her appearance in the comedic miniseries, Fresno. This show ran for only two seasons, in 1982 and 1983.

Second thoughts is a British sitcom that ran from 3 May 1991 to 14 October 1994. It was broadcast on ITV and made by LWT. It was followed by a sequel, Faith in the future. Second thoughts followed the lives of two middle-aged divorcees, Bill MacGregor and Faith Greyshott, from very different backgrounds trying to develop a relationship, despite the pressures pulling it apart. Second thoughts was based upon the real-life relationship of the writers, husband and wife Jan Etherington and Gavin Petrie. It originally aired as a radio series on BBC Radio 4 broadcast between 1 November 1988 and 23 July 1992. The radio series consisted of four series and a Christmas special broadcast in 1992 with a total of 31 episodes. The radio scripts were used for the television series on ITV. The fifth series was considered weaker than the first four series; it was the only series not to be based on the original radio scripts. Second thoughts ended on 14 October 1994, but has since been repeated on ITV3. The original radio series is often replayed on BBC7.
