Follow the exploits of various guests and employees at an exclusive tropical resort over the span of a week as with each passing day, a darker complexity emerges in these picture-perfect travelers, the hotel’s cheerful employees and the idyllic locale itself.

As a new wave of guests arrive at the White Lotus, resort manager Armond tries to assuage an unreasonable Shane and his easy-going new wife Rachel, while spa director Belinda calms a grieving Tanya. Meanwhile, Nicole suggests her husband Mark distract himself from a health scare by spending time with their son Quinn, who’s been cast out by his sister Olivia and her friend Paula.

A cautiously optimistic Belinda walks a fine line with Tanya, while Armond brainstorms ways to deal with Shane. After her husband belittles her work, Rachel approaches Nicole for advice. Paula and Olivia lose track of their stash, while a revived Mark attempts to connect with Quinn.

Stripped of his gadgets, Quinn reluctantly takes a scuba class with Mark, who’s struggling to process revelations regarding his late father. Hoping to reignite the spark with Rachel, Shane enlists Armond to help plan a romantic evening. Tanya leans on Belinda for support as she scatters her mother’s ashes at sea. Paula keeps a secret from a suspicious Olivia.

After Shane shoots down her latest career plans, Rachel is further blindsided by an unexpected arrival. Just as Belinda begins to take her business proposition seriously, Tanya’s attention turns to an intriguing hotel guest. Meanwhile, Armond’s renewed commitment to sobriety is put to the test.

As Armond attempts to do damage control, Belinda tries to redirect Tanya’s focus to her business proposal. Paula grows increasingly disillusioned with the Mossbachers. A sidelined Rachel begins to question her future. Nicole rebuffs Mark for airing their dirty laundry to Quinn.

Rachel shares some harsh truths with Shane and confides in Belinda, who’s reeling from bad news of her own. As the Mossbachers turn the page on their harrowing scare, Quinn reveals major life plans. With nothing left to lose, Armond goes on an all-out bender – and exacts the ultimate revenge on his nemesis.
