During the week they earn a living travelling North America’s highways behind the wheels of their big rig trucks. But in their downtime, they meet on tracks where they drive on their own terms. Follow five dynamic truckers and the families and friends who support them during the exciting racing season, amid exhaust, roaring engines and burning tires, on their quest to cross the finish line and be crowned the “fastest.”

It’s a tough and lonely job. Drivers are often away from their families for weeks at a time chasing big money contracts along some of the world’s longest roads. The drivers all have highly specialized road skills and tough-as-nails mechanical bush knowhow. With their monster trailers in tow, they battle the most unforgiving terrain and weather conditions imaginable - to deliver food, cattle and construction supplies to those who need it the most. And they have to do it before the wet season hits and the roads get shut down.

Welcome to the crazy world of “hot-shot truckers” – a special breed of independent truckers who will haul anything, anywhere, at any time. In northern BC, two rival families and their crews as they tackle some of the most harrowing roads and dangerous off-road locations in their custom ‘monster’ trucks. These bands of maniacs will do anything to get the job done.

The series takes us on a journey around some of the world’s most dangerous routes, with some rather unique truckers. As we accompany them on their everyday adventures, we will explore the most hostile regions, the most extreme conditions and the most unpredictable tracks. Consisting of three seasons, the series lets viewers discover landscapes, cultures and roads that stray from the beaten path.
