With auditions beginning for the three lead roles, tensions rise as the contestants all vie for the same parts. Gabby confronts Nick about his purposeful manipulation of the show. Mike accidentally reveals a huge secret to Nick and the producers.

Monica must face her past when the contestants head to Chicago to watch a performance of "Swan Lake," performed by her old ballet company. Nick digs deeper into Justin's family issues and makes a bold move for the sake of the show.

With the release of the first show trailer, the contestants air their grievances over what was caught on tape. Wayne has a run-in with someone from his past who wants to use him to gain access to the show. Nick is distracted by his visiting daughter.

A trip back to Gabby and Justin's high school leads to a big emotional reveal. Nick tries to stage an important conversation between Mike and Paula. Reggie must cope with a new development in his relationship.

With the premiere of the show only a day away, Brittney and Simon get a surprise visit from their overbearing mother. Gabby and Brittney find common ground, while Justin and Simon grow closer. Meanwhile, Paula figures out how to move forward with her health and Nick and Monica work on their relationship.

With the future of Paula's health staring them in the face, she and Mike decide to take a giant leap in their relationship. Nick deals with some lingering hesitation about being vulnerable on camera, and Justin gets the opportunity to meet with a Broadway director, which causes tension in his relationship with Simon. Meanwhile, Julia's husband, Kevin, makes a shocking return.

Nick must make the hard decision of following his brain or his heart, and Julia is stuck in a tough position when Kevin tries to win her back. Meanwhile, Justin and Simon try to navigate a new challenge in their relationship and Brittney works on standing up to her mom.

When a massive blackout threatens to stop the finale from airing, the whole cast has to band together to light up the stage. An American television series originally produced between 1982 and 1987. The show is based on the 1980 motion picture of the same name. With a mixture of drama and music, it followed the lives of the students and faculty at the New York City High School for the Performing Arts. Although fictional, it was based heavily on the actual Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts in New York. Most interior scenes were filmed in Hollywood, California, and in all seasons but the third, several exterior scenes were shot on location in New York City. The popularity of the series, particularly in the UK, led to several hit records and live concert tours by the cast. Despite its success, very few of the actors maintained high-profile careers after the series was cancelled. A number of the cast members were seen again briefly in Bring Back...Fame, a reunion special made for British television in 2008.

A British children's musical television comedy programme aimed at and mostly about teenagers, which aired in 2004. It was set at an esteemed performing arts college near Barcelona, Spain, and focuses on 13 teenagers who are invited to enrol at the college, Avalon Heights, over the summer. All eight members of the pop group S Club 8 star in the show alongside five other young actors and actresses and Hollywood film actor Christopher Lloyd. The show has the members of S Club 8 playing supposedly exaggerated versions of themselves, albeit with identical names to their real life counterparts. Each episode of the show includes several songs and dance numbers involving both members and non-members of the band. Cast member George Wood called the show "a modern day Fame".
