Overworked employee Oohashi Rei suddenly finds herself in the world of her favorite otome game as its protagonist, Rae Taylor. But she's not here to romance the game's male leads - she's in love with the villainess!

Rae sets her sights on her dream job as Claire's maid - and she'll do whatever it takes to get it.

Realizing that Claire is in love with Thane, Rae tries to direct events she recognizes from the game toward getting Thane and Claire together, despite her own feelings for Claire.

Rae impresses her teacher and classmates at the academy with her proficiency in magic... and is quickly forced to put her skills into practice when a huge monster attacks.

Rae and Claire both pass the written exam for entry into the Academy Knights. The next step is the practical exam, which pits the examinees against each other in mock battles to determine who is truly worthy to join the Knights.

The Foundation Day Fair is coming up, and the Academy Knights discuss what sort of shop they should open. An offhanded comment by Rae leads to the proposal of a cross-dressing café.
