Brazil, late 80s. The bustling life of Nando, a closeted gay flight attendant, changes when he is diagnosed with HIV.

Nando suffers from the effects of AZT. With the help of Joana and Raul, he devises a new scheme to reach more patients.

After improving with AZT, a heartbroken Nando claims paternity of Lea's child. Meanwhile, media exposure threatens the smuggling scheme.

As Joana and Yara take over the operation, Nando decides to publicly come out about his orientation, relationships and HIV status.

After months without AZT, Nando turns his sadness into will to fight to demand government action for the distribution of AIDS treatment.
