Common As Muck is a gritty BBC comedy drama serial focusing on the lives of a crew of bin men and their management staff. It ran for two series. The first series was screened in 1994 and the second in 1997. Both were nominated for a BAFTA for Best Drama.

The story following certain creatures living on a planet on the edge of the universe, who are caught by the waves of society to "aim for something" and "achieve something." But these creatures have no certain big dreams or goals in life, and decide to find happiness in life in their own way.

Ayato transfers into a new school hoping for a fresh start. Sadly for him, the school turns up to be filled with delinquents, and the most feared of them all has his eye set on him.
