Drama / Sci-Fi & Fantasy / Mystery / Crime
Set in Copenhagen in 2040 and tells the story of Smilla Jaspersen (Filippa Coster-Waldau), who lives in a near-future surveillance state threatened by an impending energy crisis.
When Smilla's young neighbor Isaiah tragically dies after falling from the roof, the police quickly dismiss his death as an accident. Determined to uncover the truth, Smilla embarks on her own investigation.
Karsten Tork, an ambitious entrepreneur, and Katja Claussen, a right-wing politician, form an unlikely partnership. Smilla grows closer to Rahid, who was responsible for taking Isaiah to his regular hospital visits.
Smilla is unaware of Tork's interest in her and Rahid's double game. Ravn realizes that Smilla might be right about her suspicions of Isaiah's murder while Isaiah continues to communicate with Smilla through visions.
When Smilla is accused of murder, Rahid helps her escape. She also pays a visit to her father, Moritz. To her great shock, she learns that Tork is with him, preparing for an expedition to Greenland.
On the open sea, the expedition sails towards Greenland. Smilla has managed to evade detection on board for several days and reunites with familiar faces.
The expedition ventures further into the unknown of the icy plains of Greenland, where hidden answers await.

In Greenland, a climate meeting for the Arctic Council is in the process of agreeing on a new and historic climate agreement that prohibits all environmentally harmful oil drilling in the area when the political advisor to Sweden's Foreign Minister Elsa suddenly disappears during a visit to a research vessel.
From the moment a slaying is reported, authorities assemble a "Murder Book" to document details of the investigation, starting from the crime scene and ending with the arrest of the perpetrator. Murder Books and the stories within them have been confidential until now. Investigation Discovery's MURDER BOOK reopens recently solved cold cases to reveal the chilling details behind the crime.
