Amazing performances from Radio 1's world famous Live Lounge!


Cheryl Cole was in the Live Lounge this morning and sang Parachute and a cover of Fireflies by Owl City.

30 Seconds To Mars were in the Live Lounge and performed their single This is War and covered Bad Romance by Lady Gaga. Fearne also presented Jared with his 'trophy' for the Ultimate Live Lounge Cover.

Eminem went down to Maida Vale for a special Live Lounge performance. He spoke to Fearne about his next album Recovery, working with Pink and Rhianna and also his joint tour with Jay-Z. He performed his single Not Afraid and a Stan/Forever medley.

McFly spend the morning in the Live Lounge with Fearne. They performed Party Girl and did a rocking cover of Taio Cruz's UK No. 1 hit Dynamite. Harry also tried to teach Fearne how to play the drums with mixed results.

Kylie Minogue performed in BBC Radio 1's Lounge for the very first time.

The Saturdays came into BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge today to perform their single 'Higher' and a cover of Bruno Mars 'Just The Way You Are'.

Each week, the host receives guest artists from different generations and from multiple backgrounds, in order to share together their music with traditional and folk influences, in an atmosphere designed for staying up late!

The first edition of the Azerbaijani version of the internationally licensed show "Mask", which is broadcast in more than 50 countries, was shown on Public Television. There are 12 masks in the program and behind each of them some Azerbaijani celebrity is hidden: "Participants come together on the principle of confrontation. Voting determines who stays in the show and who unmasks. The masks are so secret that even the family members do not know about their participation in this show."
