"The Door to Darkness" is an anthology miniseries of four hour-long thrillers. The series' curator and producer is Dario Argento, the undisputed master of suspense cinema, who directs one of the four films under the pseudonym Sirio Bernadotte.


Luca and Stefania and their newborn baby move to a house on the Lazio coast, unaware that their neighbor has just killed his wife.

A young police commissioner investigates the murder of a young woman, which occurred the previous night in a tram car. To solve the case, the commissioner is willing to do anything, even risk his girlfriend's life.

A patient at a psychiatric hospital appears to be the perpetrator of a murder. The police try to track him down, while a girl, trying to steal a doll, encounters a shady individual.

A woman claims to have witnessed a murder, but, having no evidence to provide, is not believed.

Scorpion Tales is a British anthology that aired on ITV in 1978, featuring one-off, hour-long plays with twist endings. Produced by ATV, the programme was similar in format to other thriller anthologies like Thriller and Sapphire & Steel. Each episode presented a self-contained story, often with a sinister or surprising conclusion, and starred actors such as Trevor Howard, David Robb, and Anthony Bate.

Letter to Loretta is an American anthology drama series telecast on NBC from September 1953 to June 1961 for a total of 165 episodes. The filmed show was hosted by Loretta Young who also played the lead in various episodes. Letter to Loretta was sponsored by Procter & Gamble from 1953 through 1960. This ten episode program was based on ten short stories written by Agatha Christie but with wide-ranging themes. Some were romances, some had supernatural themes and a couple were adventures. The common link was that all came from the talented pen of Agatha Christie, all were entertaining and each drama was carefully crafted and well cast with many of Britain's best known actors of the time represented.
