Rob meets his new wife's Mexican family, and his first day with them is a fiasco.
Maggie's parents want Rob and Maggie to have a second wedding, which leads to several arguments.
Maggie tries to redecorate the house by putting a new pillow on the couch, which makes Rob uncomfortable and leads to a fight. Meanwhile, Hector gets a job at Fernando's car wash, which he totally screws up.
Rob inadvertently starts a fight between Fernando and Rosa when he shares an old secret that Maggie had told to him. Wondering if Maggie has any such secrets, Rob then "discovers" an old picture of Maggie with a hot former boyfriend and becomes jealous, thinking he is not good enough for her.
Rob secretly asks Hector to teach him Spanish so that he can understand what Maggie's family is saying about him. Meanwhile, Fernando lies to Rosa about his diet and exercising.
Maggie and her parents use a cute baby to try to make Rob change his mind about not wanting children. Meanwhile, the family helps Fernando with a commercial for his car wash franchise.
Rob plans a romantic weekend at home with Maggie. However, when Fernando kicks out Hector and Rosa subsequently kicks out Fernando, they both move in with Rob and ruin the weekend.
Rob's father comes to visit and bonds with Maggie's family more than he ever has with Rob. Meanwhile, Rosa tries to teach Hector to cook.

Teachers Only is an NBC television sitcom centered around the faculty of a high school; in the first season the school was Millard Fillmore High in Los Angeles, but in the second it is Woodrow Wilson High in New York with a changed cast. In both seasons Norman Fell played Principal Ben Cooper, but Lynn Redgrave's character, Diana Swanson, who had been an English teacher in the first season, became a guidance counselor in the second season. Redgrave and Fell were already established names when this show aired, but two of the supporting stars in the second season, Jean Smart would go on, three years later, to play her best known role, that of interior design studio receptionist Charlene Frazier Stillfield on the long running show, Designing Women. Also, Jean's co-star Teresa Ganzel became well known for her many game show appearances in the 1980s as well as her appearance in the comedic miniseries, Fresno. This show ran for only two seasons, in 1982 and 1983.

Is It Legal? is a British television sitcom set in a solicitors office in Hounslow, west London, which ran from 1995 to 1998. It was produced by Hartswood Films and was shown on ITV for Series 1-2 and Channel 4 for Series 3. It was written by Simon Nye, who also wrote other ITV sitcoms such as Men Behaving Badly and Hardware.

Second thoughts is a British sitcom that ran from 3 May 1991 to 14 October 1994. It was broadcast on ITV and made by LWT. It was followed by a sequel, Faith in the future. Second thoughts followed the lives of two middle-aged divorcees, Bill MacGregor and Faith Greyshott, from very different backgrounds trying to develop a relationship, despite the pressures pulling it apart. Second thoughts was based upon the real-life relationship of the writers, husband and wife Jan Etherington and Gavin Petrie. It originally aired as a radio series on BBC Radio 4 broadcast between 1 November 1988 and 23 July 1992. The radio series consisted of four series and a Christmas special broadcast in 1992 with a total of 31 episodes. The radio scripts were used for the television series on ITV. The fifth series was considered weaker than the first four series; it was the only series not to be based on the original radio scripts. Second thoughts ended on 14 October 1994, but has since been repeated on ITV3. The original radio series is often replayed on BBC7.
