Five single ladies claw their way to the top of the male-dominated Los Angeles food scene.
We meet five women who are climbing their way to the top of the red hot L.A. food scene. Although they may need each other professionally, they don’t always get along socially. In an industry dominated by men, these women need to stick together... but can they?
With L.A. Food & Wine Festival just days away, Nina and Jessica scramble to make a big mark on the local food scene. Meanwhile, Jessica pushes her team to take Fuku Burger to the next level. Then, Waylynn celebrates Fonuts’ one-year anniversary with an interview for Eater LA with Kat.
Nina's feeling isolated in L.A., so she turns to longtime family friend, Lauren Hutton, for advice and throws an adult "show and tell" party in the hopes of strengthening her friendships. Waylynn relives a bittersweet memory by putting on her dream wedding dress she never got to wear. Meanwhile, Brenda and Kat attend a very exclusive charity dinner, where Kat is the flirty center of attention.
Jessica's father visits from out of town and she is eager for his approval. Waylynn breaks her "no chef" policy when things progress with Andrew. Lindsay is blindsided when Jessica makes a snap business decision. Meanwhile, Brenda drops a bomb when she confronts Kat about her reputation in the L.A. food scene.
Jessica reels over the loss of her job, while Brenda suspects Lindsay is at the root of her troubles at work. Kat arranges a girls' bonding trip to Santa Ynez to explore the food-to-table phenomenon happening in the local food scene. The trip takes a turn when Brenda confronts Lindsay in front of all the women. And a seemingly harmless comment by Waylynn sends Jessica running off in tears.
Before leaving Santa Ynez, Jessica confronts Waylynn over the comment that made her break down. Back in L.A., Brenda attempts to smooth things over with Lindsay. And Jessica, still lost after losing her job, finally calls her father in the hopes of getting comfort and support. Meanwhile, Kat seeks advice from Waylynn over her alleged reputation. How will she react when Waylynn doesn't hold back?
Waylynn takes a trip to New York City to look at potential Fonuts locations while sneaking in a romantic getaway with Andrew. Jessica finally looks for a job and hopes her former co-worker Clint can help. Brenda goes out on her first date in two years where her rusty dating skills might cut things short. And Nina has 48 hours to prepare a pop-up dinner to impress important people in the L.A. food scene, but can she first impress the harshest critics of all—her friends?
With just 24 hours until her pop-up dinner, Nina scrambles to improve her food after receiving less than stellar reviews from her friends. A confrontation between Lindsay and Kat creates a firestorm that leaves Kat vowing not to attend the dinner and Nina melting down. With her reputation on the line, Nina frantically makes the meal of her life for 50 of L.A.'s most influential foodies. Can Nina take the heat or will she have to get out of the kitchen?

American favorite "Chopped" heads north of the border to Canada with a familiar format and new host, Toronto native Dean McDermott. Each episode of "Chopped Canada" challenges four professional chefs to turn boxes of mystery ingredients into a three-course meal in a race against the clock. Each course serves as its own round in the competition, and the chef with the least-successful dish — as determined by a panel of judges — is eliminated after each round. The chef who comes out on top following the dessert round wins $10,000 and the title of "Chopped Canada" champion.
The table is set for the ultimate culinary clash in this one part cooking competition, one part game show. Host Adam Richman ("Man v. We're traveling across America to discover the best and boldest flavors competitors can fire up on their grills in this ultimate, outdoor cooking challenge. From the Virginia countryside where whole hogs are a classic, to Maryland's Eastern Shore where blue crabs are legendary, host David Guas visits a different city each week where he serves up amazing local ingredients to test the epic backyard skills of America's hardcore grillers. Competitors come from all walks of life, including a patent attorney, a professional chef, an electrician and a suburban mom. Despite their differences, all contestants have a passion for high-heat, big meat and cooking over an open flame. Each episode starts with 4 competitors, but in the end only 1 walks away with the $10,000 cash prize and the bragging rights of being the killer griller.
