This series tells the daily life of a couple : Jean and Alexandra. From easy cases: in bed, in the living room, in the kitchen, by phone... to rare ones: lost on an island or in the country, in Hong Kong, during a wedding... Jean and Alexandra's life is not exactly a long, quiet…

Aside from an intimate moment spent examining their bodies together, Jean and Alex are not on the same wavelength: Jean reveals the killer's identity in the mystery novel Alex is reading, and they interpret the movie "9½ Weeks" differently. While Jean looks for a good excuse to avoid having a baby, Alex manages to convince him to have lunch with his mother-in-law. And when the two return from their evening out in a sorry state, Jean inadvertently reveals his attempts at infidelity...

Chouchou and Loulou are at Alex's mother's place. Jean would happily have skipped the visit, as his mother-in-law keeps taking nasty digs at him—though he knows how to give as good as he gets. To make matters worse, Alex’s crazy talk about babies isn't helping things. Jean even tries to make a run for it, but it’s an uphill battle...

Shopping isn't Jean's favorite pastime—unlike Alexandra's. He tags along, lets her pick out his clothes, and offers his opinion... all while feeling bored and just wishing it were over! Alex, on the other hand, spends hours trying things on, having others try things on, and browsing—she never wants it to end. They make for the perfect picture of a couple out shopping!

Jean and Alex are hosting Daniel and Jeannette for dinner. While talking to Daniel, Jean feels like he is the only guy at the table, whereas Alex appreciates Daniel's "feminine" side. To make matters worse, the conversation and the games do nothing to help the dynamic between the four friends...

It’s our couple’s first therapy session. Alex loves talking about herself—and speaking for Jean—to criticize him and reveal his secrets, even the ones she doesn't tell him... she loves talking about everything. Well, almost everything; because the moment the conversation turns to criticizing her or discussing her flaws, she shows us a different side of her personality...

Jean and Alex are in the kitchen. In certain situations—whether intentional or not—they act like real children: Jean puts Alex’s stuffed animal in the microwave, and it comes out charred, while Alex gives the surprise toy from Jean’s cereal box to the neighbor’s son...

Jean and Alex are in the bathroom. It’s not easy for Jean to get any peace and quiet in there—what with Alex’s interrogations, the favors she asks for, and her makeup sessions... poor guy. All that’s missing is cold water and blackheads! Then again, Jean really ought to keep quiet, seeing as he’s somewhat forgotten the house rules...

Jean and Alex are staying in a chalet with their friends, Daniel and Jeannette. The trip begins with a disagreement over who will take which room. That is not the only conflict, however; the eccentricities of the various individuals only add to the tension. Finally, amidst it all, Jeannette and Daniel announce some good news...

Jean and Alex find themselves back at the therapist's office. They discuss issues in their relationship and personal lives and try to find solutions, but reaching a compromise is far from easy for either of them...

Jean and his buddies are playing poker, but since her girls' night out has been cancelled, Alex crashes the game. Naturally, she talks more than she plays, gives away Jean's hand, and cracks jokes at every opportunity—all of which really gets on Jean's nerves.

Alex and Jean are in the bathroom, discussing the idea that wanting to be alone in the restroom is ridiculous. Jean wants some peace and quiet in there, but Alex thinks that’s silly. Alex has put a plant in the bathroom because it is more humid there than in the living room. Alex wants Jean to take a bath with her, but Jean doesn't like taking baths.

Alex and Jean are working out at the gym. Where there’s a workout, there’s a trainer—something Alex is quite happy about. While "Chouchou"—who is bored out of her mind—jumps at any excuse to call on the handsome coach, Jean (driven more by jealousy than anything else) does his best to ensure Alex focuses more on the exercise... and on him!

Alex, having injured her ankle, heads to the emergency room accompanied by Jean. The wait is long—something that really irritates Jean—and Alex’s conversation doesn't help matters. Fortunately, the ER holds a few surprises in store...

Alex has her foot in a cast and is taking the opportunity to be pampered by her man. Jean is patient and kind, but he isn't fooled by his wife's little game. However, this won't last forever, as Alex will soon have to get her cast removed—something she is far from thrilled about...

Jean takes Alex golfing. He teaches her the basics of the game, but she doesn't get it at all and is terrible at it. Jean grows exasperated and stops being able to relax. In any case, Jean knows a lot of people; it all seems a bit fishy to Alex...

When Jean writes a declaration of love to Alex, she is more concerned with his French errors... Likewise, their cuddles are disrupted by Alex's off-the-wall remarks. On the other hand, there is never a bad time to wonder about marriage and babies. For his part, Jean gets jealous when his "Chouchou" receives a call from a colleague... yet he would happily buy her a new set of boobs, if only it didn't cost so much!

It’s Jean’s birthday. He is celebrating with Daniel, Jeannette, and—of course—Alex at a Japanese restaurant. However, the conversation is decidedly feminine, as are the gifts, which are aimed more at Alex—to say nothing of Daniel. What’s more, there is no better way to wrap up a birthday than with a fit of jealousy from Alex.

Alex and Jean consult several psychologists who use various techniques—such as the "mirror method," designed to resolve their relationship issues by confronting them with their own reflections. Naturally, both Alex and Jean hold very personal views regarding their relationship and themselves. And, true to form, the two of them end up losing their tempers... the therapy doesn't stand much of a chance!

Chouchou and Loulou are paying their bills. It’s a good thing Jean is there, because Alex has no idea how to sort through the paperwork and would rather not deal with it at all—paperwork just isn't her thing! Jean keeps an eye on the accounts, stays organized, and gathers information, but with Alex spending the way she does, it’s not easy...

There are frequent knocks at the door of our two lovebirds, and the visitors aren't necessarily trustworthy—cults, religious groups, thugs... but Alex and Jean look out for each other. It’s a good thing, too, because depending on who shows up, they might find themselves with some unexpected new interests. In any case, the couple can no longer tolerate these constant interruptions and makes that very clear.

Alex wants a pet, whereas Jean does not. But Alex insists; she is even willing to accept any kind of pet just to get Jean to give in. After many discussions, Jean agrees to the dog.

It’s official! The dog (Brioche) is home! Alex is absolutely besotted, whereas Jean is annoyed: ever since the dog arrived, Alex has eyes only for him—so much for their private moments, evenings for two, and romps in the bedroom... Though it doesn't last long, as Brioche meets a tragic end at Jean's hands.

Chouchou and Loulou have gone camping. It’s a treat for Alex but not for Jean, who really isn't the outdoorsy type—in fact, he’s brought along all the comforts of modern life: a computer, a mobile phone, and an electronic organizer. To make matters worse, our girl isn't helping either: she didn't pack properly and can't stop putting on makeup. And to top it all off, the tent and the food supplies are being overrun by bugs...

Jean and Alex are at the bank. Jean keeps a close eye on his accounts, yet there are problems. You don't have to look far for the reason: it's Alex. She doesn't know how to use the ATMs, she doesn't know how to make a deposit or withdraw cash... she doesn't know a thing—she's hopeless! And yet, she spends money without a second thought.

When Jean is in bed, Alex is obsessed with housework—going so far as to wake her man up bright and early, even on weekends. At least it saves him from having nightmares about his mother-in-law. When Jean hogs the duvet, Alex uses tricks to reclaim her share... yet she doesn't hesitate to take over the whole bed to stash food... though what Jean really holds against Alex is her sexual escapades with her exes...

The couple is having lunch at his mother-in-law's place. Believe it or not, Jean is making an effort to patch things up with her—though she really ought to make an effort in return... Fortunately, Jean came prepared with some witty comebacks and answers to her barbs. Alex tries to help them communicate, but it’s a lost cause. All that’s missing to make the day complete is a nightmare for Loulou...

Jean and Alex find themselves surrounded by books. Alex is particularly drawn to titles about relationships and how to improve them—books with a strong feminist slant that Jean finds utterly sappy. As for Loulou, he prefers graphic novels for adults or chatting with the saleswoman—the perfect way to trigger Alex’s jealousy. That said, when it comes to the great classics, our two friends still have some catching up to do.

The couple attends a cocktail party hosted by Isabelle at Jean’s office—a setup that guarantees bad moods and jealous outbursts from Alex. Jean does nothing to help matters; he does nothing but compliment Isabelle while belittling Alex. Given Isa’s physical attributes and organizational skills, Alex is in for a rough time.

Chouchou and Loulou are going to rent some videos. Since they don't share the same tastes, it's not easy finding movies to watch together—except for X-rated ones, though returning those requires a certain knack for discretion! What's more, Alex isn't very good at describing a movie she's looking for if she doesn't know the title or the actors' names—unlike Jean, who can even mimic the actors' voices in several languages.

Jean and Alex are each in their respective offices, talking to one another on the phone. Alex calls Jean to ask existential questions about their relationship or even to run tests—and vice versa, since Jean joins in too. Moreover, their communication isn't very good, especially when it comes to avoiding a dinner with friends.

The couple has a doctor's appointment. The wait is long, but the pair keeps busy with magazines. Once they are with the doctor, they each ask their questions. Jean isn't entirely at ease at the doctor's office. Alex is fine with it—well, mostly... though when the conversation turns to sexual relations and certain little secrets come to light, she shrinks away, feeling small in front of Jean.

Daniel and Jeannette are getting married. Jean and Alex hold completely opposing views, which sparks a conflict. Alex is a proponent of marriage and hangs on the priest's every word, whereas Jean finds the whole thing boring and old-fashioned. In any case, emotions run high—especially for Alex—but there are surprises in store, too, particularly for Jean...

Alex and Jean are in a beautiful hotel room to celebrate their first time together. Things don't go quite as Jean had planned: Alex is ovulating, his mother-in-law has the room's phone number, and there are a few mishaps compounded by Alex's chatter... Fortunately, there’s the TV and the food.

Alex decides to get behind the wheel with Jean’s help—or rather, his criticism. It has to be said that the couple is very relaxed—perhaps too much so: what with the cigarette, the phone, the makeup, the planner, and the games, one might almost forget they are actually driving. So, when they get pulled over by a cop, they try to talk their way out of a fine.

The couple is at the movies. Although they don't share the same interests, it’s clear that Jean can be moved to tears by a film, while Alex is far from brave when watching a horror movie. In any case, even at the cinema, the lovebirds are arguing.

Our guy and girl are staying with Jeannette and Daniel. When Jean isn't clashing with Alex, he gets a bit bored. It has to be said that other people's tastes aren't really his thing—he’s more into humor. Daniel, on the other hand, has his limits—even on his birthday. Speaking of birthdays, Jean is struggling to remember his own anniversary...

Jean really isn't used to grocery shopping, and it’s far from being something he enjoys—admittedly, Alex doesn't make it any easier. Still, nothing beats a bit of childish play or singing along to make the most of the moment. Plus, with good organization, everything runs smoothly... well, except for the wait!

Jean and Alex are at a restaurant with Isa. Right from the start, Alex grows jealous of Isa and makes it very clear to Jean. She tries hard to show herself off, but it’s a bit of a flop—though her snide remarks certainly hit the mark! To make matters worse, Jean keeps listing Isa’s good qualities, while Isa herself commits a few charming blunders...

It’s a TV night for the couple... well, mostly a night of talking for Alex—something that really gets on Jean’s nerves. They watch everything, but they don't see the shows the same way. There’s more going on in front of the TV than just watching, though: Jean works out and plays video games... but that’s not exactly what shows him in his best light.

Jean and Alex are bowling with Jeannette and Daniel. Alex has absolutely no clue what he's doing and struggles to get the hang of the rules and the game itself—something that really gets on Jean's nerves. To make matters worse, Daniel turns the outing into a competition, and both he and Jeannette know exactly how to rub it in, sparking a real conflict among the friends. Then again, sometimes Jean would rather just lose...

Our couple has a very unique way of handling home improvements. Alex does everything to dodge the work—clothes, phone calls, you name it. As for Jean, true to form, he remains his usual macho self and is constantly at odds with his mother-in-law. In any case, one thing they do have in common is their sheer obstinacy...

Chouchou and Loulou are visiting a fortune teller. It is immediately apparent that their concerns differ: Loulou is more worried about his poorly parked car and the football scores, whereas Alex is focused on her future with Jean and whether they will have children. Jean is rather skeptical, while Alex is completely invested—ready to make any decision based on what the fortune teller says...

Jean and Alex are on the subway, and public transport certainly isn't the place where Alex becomes any less of a control freak or any less talkative. On the contrary, she chats with everyone—Jean, the other passengers... even an apple, if need be. Besides, you can run into some pretty odd characters on the subway...

The couple is at the bar with Daniel and Jeannette. The atmosphere is lively; Alex cracks a joke at Jean's expense, and they even dance—perhaps a bit too much for Jean's liking... at least until jealousy enters the picture for both Alex and Jean.

Jean and Alex are enjoying a short thalassotherapy getaway. There’s nothing better for unwinding, even though their schedule is packed with activities. Plus, they have to send postcards! Jean particularly appreciates the presence of plenty of young women—not to mention the masseuses—but Alex knows exactly how to get her own back...
