Hit hard by the Lehman shock, a well-meaning young man joins a phone scam operation and gets increasingly embroiled in the underworld.


After losing his corporate job, Makoto is broke and increasingly in debt. With no prospects and nowhere to turn, he takes up a suspicious offer.

Makoto begins a hellish training program for new-hires. Unlike the other trainees, he knows this work is illegal, but he’s determined to keep the job.

The elderly are hoarding money, and they’re a cancer on Japan. Hearing this, Makoto throws himself into defrauding seniors, but he feels conflicted.

Pressured into expanding his operation, Kanbe asks Makoto to lead the team. Despite the impossibly high monthly quota, Makoto relishes his new role.

After a dangerous encounter with Yamada, Makoto realizes he's in too deep to quit. His increasingly suspicious mother confronts him.

Harassed by the elderly in her job as a home care worker, a fed up Sachiko decides to support Makoto in his misdeeds and provides him with client data.

Makoto fears a teammate may be connected to the burglaries targeting Sachiko's client list. He decides to call it quits once he meets his quota.

After finding out that Seimiya was involved in the burglaries, Dokugawa accuses Makoto of also being an accomplice.

As the operation crumbles, the team works to destroy all their evidence. The police are closing in, but Makoto tries to act like everything's fine.

Mistakes are part and parcel of life. Only when one realizes where his fault lies, is he deserving of a second chance. Those who were given a second chance are usually grateful and work harder. Take Zheng Mei Mei (Huang Biren) for example. After serving her jail term, she got to know Zhuang Ying Xiong (Thomas Ong) , a son of a wealthy man. And in a bid to win over his father’s trust, he invested into “Mei Mei’s Kitchen” for Mei Mei to run. With his backing and her hard work, the business took off. She also employed several ex-convicts to help out in the shop, giving them a second chance in life as they experience various setbacks that will test their limits.

Zen Seizaki is a prosecutor with the Tokyo District Public Prosecutors' Office. While investigating illegal acts by a certain pharmaceutical company, Seizaki stumbles upon a page stained with a mixture of blood, hair and skin, along with the letter "F" scribbled all across the sheet. As he investigates further, the case goes beyond Zen's imagination and becomes vastly complex, challenging his sense of justice and his knowledge of the truth. Digging deeper into the investigation, Zen begins to uncover a concealed plot behind the ongoing mayoral election and ties to many people of interest involved in the election and those closer than he thinks. The case grows more severe and propels Zen into an unforeseen hurricane of corruption and deceit behind the election, the establishment of the Shiniki district, and the mysterious woman associated with it all.

Alice is an American sitcom television series that ran from August 31, 1976 to March 19, 1985 on CBS. The series is based on the 1974 film Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore. The show stars Linda Lavin in the title role, a widow who moves with her young son to start her life over again, and finds a job working at a roadside diner on the outskirts of Phoenix, Arizona.
