What is a true punk band? We sit down with St. John's punk band, Banana Vacuum, to explore punk culture and question what it takes to be punk in today's world. This new band has gained some notoriety in the past year for it's unusual lead singer and themes throughout the album. ABOVE ALL is a revealing short documentary about the life of an American man who ended up onboard with an atomic bomb, in the midst of the 1962 Cuban Crisis. The world was never been closer to nuclear war than this moment. A surprisingly heart-warming story told with his own words and pictures, the film is made from family home movies, including previously unseen footage from inside the US airbases. System (2025) is a short documentary film exploring intergenerational connections to land and country. Interviews with Aunty Denise Morgan Bulled, a Yorta Yorta Elder; John Toll and his family, fourth-generation farmers in Gunbower wetlands; and two Local 10 year olds, Harry and his friend Mac. The film reflects on how the river system shapes their daily lives, impacts their quality of life, and influences their passion for country.
