A century after his birth, Sérgio Cardoso — one of the greatest stars of Brazilian theater and television — still inhabits the country’s cultural imagination. A symbol of a generation that helped shape modern stage language in Brazil, his presence endures as an artistic, political, and emotional legacy. Through archives, memories, and the rehearsals of the play “Six Actors in Search of Sérgio Cardoso,” the documentary moves between past and present to explore not only the trajectory of a monumental actor, but also what remains of an artist when time transforms men into myth. As a new generation of performers attempts to rediscover his voice, rigor, and restless spirit, the film reveals how Sérgio Cardoso continues to resonate within contemporary theater — as a ghost, an inspiration, and a founding force of a stage tradition still trying to understand itself.

Nine-year-old Marbella lives through her passion for wrestling, a world that extends beyond the ring and into her everyday life. Between training, competitions, and family, "ZAS" portrays how a popular tradition becomes a place of identity, growth, and belonging as a young girl discovers her own path inside and outside the ring.

The documentary explores the outskirts of Palermo through the lens of photographer Francesco Faraci, whose work paints a portrait of the “out-of-focus cities”—areas that have long been marginalized, exploited, and rarely the recipients of adequate investment. This structural neglect has contributed to the entrenchment of conditions of decay, poverty, and a lack of opportunities, fostering the rise of power structures alternative to the state, foremost among them the mafia. Through the story of his own experiences in Sicily’s suburbs, the photographer reflects on possible strategies for regenerating these places, highlighting how they still represent spaces capable of preserving a human and relational authenticity that has progressively disappeared from urban centers.

Set in a semi-urban coastal village of Kerala, “Beneath the Wings of Rosary Beads” follows a fishing community where faith and labor intertwine. Susan Maria, guided by recurring dreams of abundance, returns to the sea; Rosie anchors life in devotion; and Robert recalls a fading past. Through daily rhythms, memories, and conversations, the film explores belief, risk, and generational change, as faith continues to shape life by the shore.
