The fortunes of a former chat show host who is reduced to a lowly slot on Radio Norwich. Alan Partridge is divorced, living in a travel tavern, and desperate for a return to television.
After the end of his chat show and the divorce from his wife Carol, Alan is now living in Linton Travel Tavern and presenting the early morning slot on Radio Norwich. After viewing a 5 bedroom house with his P.A., Lynne, Alan has a meeting with the BBC Chief Commissioner, Tony Hayers, who he needs to impress if he is to be given a second series.
It's Valentine's day and love is in the air. Alan is distributing chocolate oranges to every female under 50 while dealing with the fact that he cannot afford to keep his Rover 800 without sacking all the staff at Peartree Productions.
Just as he is ready to be the presenter of a boating holiday promotional video, Alan manages to insult Norfolk's farmers on his radio show.
Since Alan is the only weekend guest at the hotel, the manager of the Linton Travel Tavern decides to close it for renovation.
Alan creates a Sunday afternoon version of his radio show, inviting some executives from Irish TV over to witness the production at the travel tavern.
New developments at the BBC give Alan hope that he may be able to return to TV.

Titus is an American dark comedy sitcom that debuted on Fox in 2000. The series was created by its star, Christopher Titus, Jack Kenny, and Brian Hargrove. This sitcom was based on Christopher's stand-up comedy act, more specifically his one-man show Norman Rockwell is Bleeding, which was based loosely upon his real-life family; lines from Norman Rockwell is Bleeding were spoken by Titus as commentary. Titus plays an outwardly childish adult, who owns a custom car shop. The show follows him and his dimwitted halfbrother Dave, his girlfriend Erin with the "heart of gold", his goody-goody friend Tommy, and his arrogantly lewd, bigoted and multiple-divorced father Ken "Papa" Titus.
