One day, a tunnel opens up between Philippe's basement in Paris, Ontario and Paris, France. Here's a chance for Philippe, caught up in a midlife crisis, to escape his quiet life and go wild and crazy in the City of Light.

Philippe is bored with life in Paris, Ontario. His wife is more successful than him, his son is obsessed with screens, and he is questioning the importance of his life's work teaching French.

Philippe is in Paris, France and thinks he's dreaming. He's hailed as an unexpected hero having made Godot appear at the end of the play Waiting for Godot.

Fascinated by this new world, Philippe is increasingly forgetting his responsibilities in Ontario. Encouraged by Marianne, Fabioli entrusts Philippe to rewrite the company's next play.

Philippe's therapy sessions are starting to bear fruit and Fabioli is excited about Philippe's adaptation of Berenice.

Philippe is afraid to confess the truth to Jenny. He says he's organizing a party for their 15th wedding anniversary, but Jenny can sense his lack of commitment.

Marianne discovers the tunnel and crosses over to Ontario. While she marvels at the Canadian Paris, Philippe panics.

The morning after the party is painful for Philippe. He's more determined than ever to start a new life in Paris with Marianne and completely block the tunnel.

Although he's been hospitalized in a psychiatric ward run by his neighbour Dr. Will, Philippe persists in trying to convince his wife that the story of the tunnel is real.

Philippe leaves the hospital and comes home to a remodeled basement. Jenny drywalled everything. Committed to treatment, Philippe remains plagued by doubts.

Philippe is reassured about his mental state, but Meursault seeks revenge by interfering more and more in his life. Everyone around Philippe is under the spell of this diabolical seducer.

Philippe flies to Paris thanks to the plane tickets bought by Jenny for their anniversary. Relieved and delighted to find Marianne, he shares with her his plans for the future.

In trying to save the play, Philippe goes too far by giving sleeping pills to Jacquo and taking his place on stage. Jenny discovers the tunnel and disrupts the play.

Having decided to come back to Canada, Philippe is confronted by the fact that Jenny wants nothing to do with him. Philippe doubles his efforts to win back the trust of his family.
