In the aftermath of WWI, an unknown Austrian named Adolf Hitler, who was a German solider in WWI, becomes a local celebrity in Munich's burgeoning far right political scene. Before long, he's vying for control of the city, and Germany itself.

After serving a short time in prison for leading a failed coup d’etat and being convicted of treason, Hitler returns to Munich with a vision for leading Germany to greatness.

Hitler consolidates his power after becoming chancellor, turning Germany into a dictatorship. As the Führer, Hitler quickly transforms the country and claims a leading role on the international stage before pivoting towards expanding the Reich.

At the height of his power, Hitler embarks on a genocidal war of conquest, which threatens the future of the continent and the lives of tens of millions of European Jews.

As Germany faces catastrophic losses in the war, especially in the fight against the Soviet Union, Hitler turns his focus to extermination of all European Jews.

As his Reich crumbles around him, Hitler retreats to Berlin in January 1945. In the Führerbunker, he experiences desperation and personal betrayal during the final weeks of the war before taking his own life.

Over the past 60 years Britain's Special Air Service regiment has carried out a wide variety of clandestine missions - from deep-penetration raiding to hostage release operations - which have made it respected and feared for its professionalism and daring. But, over the years, sufficient information has emerged for a picture of the regiment's exploits to be clear. This series uses interviews with former members of the SAS; detailed and painstaking reconstructions; and cutting edge 3-D graphics to recreate seven great missions which show why the SAS is today regarded as the world's leading special forces unit.

"Löwengrube – Die Grandauers und ihre Zeit" is a German television series first aired between 1989 and 1992, created by Willy Purucker and directed by Rainer Wolffhardt. It is set in Munich and follows the lives of Ludwig Grandauer and his son Karl, both policemen, covering the years from 1897 to 1954. The TV show is based on Purucker's radio play series Die Grandauers und ihre Zeit (‘The Grandauers and their time’). The series’ main title "Löwengrube", meaning ‘Lions’ Den’, refers to the address of the Munich Police Headquarters inaugurated in 1913.

The story of three decades of war told through the eyes of various men who were its key players: Roosevelt, Hitler, Patton, Mussolini, Churchill, Tojo, DeGaulle and MacArthur. The series examines the two wars as one contiguous timeline starting in 1914 and concluding in 1945 with these unique individuals coming of age in World War I before ultimately calling the shots in World War II.

WWII’s Greatest Raids is a series that takes you into the heart of an elite band of soldiers in the heat of a key action in their history, and follows them on the mission to show just how these men put their unique combination of skills, training and equipment to the test of combat. We’ll explore just how celebrated outfits such as the U.S. Army Rangers, the British Special Air Service and the Black Devil Brigade have changed the course of a battle, or perhaps even a war, through their courage, daring and commitment.
